1918 World War I medal from France. "Honor and Fatherland." "The Village of St. Etienne to its children who died for France."
My two great aunts, Mabel and Mercedes Koller, were nurses in that war in France and brought back this Art Nouveau medal in its original velvet-lined case, which makes it more rare than identical medals without the case.
